Management Briefing Seminars

August 11-15, 2008

Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, Traverse City, Michigan

CAR maintains strong relationships with industry, government agencies, universities, research institutes, labor organizations, and other major stakeholders of the international automotive community. One way CAR enhances and strengthens those relationships is through the annual Management Briefing Seminars.

These annual seminars, directed by the Center for Automotive Research, are the largest management conference in the North American automotive industry. The 2008 event will celebrate the 43rd anniversary of this annual gathering of more than 1,200 industry, academic, and government leaders. The seminars are a forum to address critical issues and emerging trends in a setting designed to encourage relationships and enhance communication within the industry. A number of other organizations participate in this event. These include a diverse group of manufacturers and suppliers; the Original Equipment Suppliers Association; the Michigan Economic Development Corporation; The University of Michigan and Focus: HOPE.

The seminars first took place in downtown Traverse City, and eventually moved to the

Grand Traverse Resort and Spa in the early 1980s. MBS social events, combined with the Northern Michigan setting provide a relaxed atmosphere and a number of opportunities to build and enhance relationships during the week of the event.
